Description
This wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and all-spice. The palate is full and richly textured with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches.
The grapes for this wine hail from 5 sustainably farmed vineyard parcels in different parts of the Swartland. Three Old Vine Chenin parcels - one on the stony Shale and Schist based soils of the Kasteelberg and two from dry land bush vines based on the decomposed Granite of the Paardeberg. The Clairette also comes from decomposed Granite terroir in Paardeberg and the Viognier from the iron-rich soils of the rolling hills west of Malmesbury.
