Benguela Cove is a leading producer and wine tourism destination in the Walker Bay region outside Hermanus. The cool climate is celebrated in wines packed with character and finesse. Benguela Cove’s vineyards benefit from the unique conditions of the estate’s location at the ocean’s edge. The south-easterly sea breeze is chilled by the Benguela Current welling up from Antarctica, cooling the grapes at night after the warm summer days, irrigated by above-average rainfall, for perfect viniculture. Our terroir is clay and calcium rich and there are very few farms like this in South Africa.
